NGA Classified Session

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) will conduct an all-day classified session in conjunction with the Pecora 19/ ISPRS Technical Commission I and IAG Commission 4 Symposium. The purpose of the classified session is to engage the attendees in exploring views, ideas, approaches, and research results for Understanding the Changing Surface of the Earth.
The classified session will be held 17 November 2014, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM at ADF-C. All participants for the classified session must pre-register with ASPRS.

Session Details
The classified session focuses on how remotely sensed data from all bands of the electromagnetic spectrum, acquired by the latest remote sensing technology and platforms, can be used to increase our understanding of changes to the earth's surface, with particular interest in application to intelligence and national security. The changes can be both natural and human-made, at all scales, to natural and human-made features.
Potential topics include:
- Detecting and monitoring changes to the Earth's surface.
- Using remotely sensed observations to assess the status of natural resources, particularly in inaccessible areas or areas where ground truth is unavailable.
- Application of emerging remote sensing technologies for collecting data.
- Data mining and computer-assisted image analysis in the era of big data.
General Schedule
- Morning Session: Keynote presentation and cutting edge research presentations on Understanding the Changing Surface of the Earth.
- Afternoon Session: Additional research presentations and in-depth round table discussions on Understanding the Changing Surface of the Earth.
Classification Level
- This session will be held at the TS/SI level. A minimum security clearance of TS/SI is required for all session participants.
- Clearance certifications must be submitted by Wednesday, November 5, 2014

Registration Details
- Your registration includes:
- Transportation to and from the session location
- The session will take place outside of the Renaissance Denver Hotel
- We ask all session registrants to ride the official transportation
- Buses will begin loading at the Renaissance Denver Hotel at 7:00 am on Monday, November 17th.
- Buses will depart for the session location at 7:20 am - PROMPLY
- Lite Breakfast and coffee upon arrival
- Morning Beverage Break
- Lunch
- Afternoon Beverage Break
All registered attendees must have a conference name badge and personal government identification for access to the facility. If possible, please visit the Symposium registration desk at the Renaissance Denver Hotel before you attend the Classified Session.
